The GMA star announced her engagement to Tom on January 3, 2022 via an Instagram post which read: "I said YES! To Tom Werner," and was accompanied by a photo of the two smiling delightedly together. The couple then got married at the Harmonie Club in New York City on November 6, 2022.

While talking to her co-hosts on GMA, Jennifer explained how they were comforted by the psychologist's explanation of why Robert's suicide was not a reflection of his love for them.
