We hope you're sitting down, because Cult Beauty has just opened up the waitlist for not one but two beauty advent calendars that will launch later this year.

I know, I know: August has barely begun, the heatwave is still going strong, and nobody's even remotely ready for mince pies, pine-scented winter candles and mulled wine just yet. However, as GLAMOUR's resident beauty advent calendar connoisseur, I can assure you that it's never a bad idea to get a head start – especially considering that all the best options sell out lightning fast (well before November, might I add).

Unsurprisingly, the Cult Beauty advent calendar announcements never fail to impress us. Following on from the success of the online beauty store's previous four sold-out advent calendars, this year's launch is bigger and better than ever. As we've already mentioned, the retailer is treating us with two advents this year “Curated With Love” and “Scent With Love” – both worth over £1,100, but priced at £235, with each featuring 40 products in total.

Behind every door, you'll find an epic selection of makeup, hair care and skincare treats – both in full size and travel size. So what's the difference between the two calendars, you ask? Although the two are priced the same, the main difference is that the “Scent With Love” iteration will also pack some fragrance-related surprises too, while the “Curated With Love” option will solely focus on a mixture of all beauty products except for perfumes.

Similar to last year's launch, this year you'll also automatically have £10 credit (AKA 230 Status Points via Cult Beauty) added to your account when you shop for either of the advent calendars. The best part? In true Willy Wonka fashion, you might also be one of the lucky three to win a Golden Ticket hidden inside, with each worth a staggering £1,000 worth of credit for you to spend at Cult Beauty.

While we're not yet at liberty to reveal the full contents of both as of yet, based on a sneak peek that we've gotten directly from Cult Beauty, we can attest that the products and brands are even better than we expected. Without giving too much away, we spotted quite a few viral sensations that have definitely cropped up on your FYP, as well as newer launches and all-time classics that are known and loved by all beauty editors and influencers alike.

And based on what we've seen in previous years, we expected nothing less. The Cult Beauty 2023 advent calendar featured brands like the premium Augustinus Bader, the Hailey Bieber-approved Hourglass, the science-backed Medik8, and Olaplex – and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Some of our favourite surprises also included the Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector as well as the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen.

Intrigued? Below, we've included more info on last year's Cult Beauty advent calendar so that you can get a better understanding of what you could be signing up for in a few months' time. Of course, as we receive more details on the contents and launch date, we'll be keeping this page refreshed with the latest – so be sure to bookmark this URL so that you don't miss out.

What was inside the Cult Beauty 2023 Advent Calendar? GLAMOUR's top picks:

Most Popular

The Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream was, absolutely, the star of the show. Priced at more than the cost of the advent calendar alone – for a 50ml bottle – it's adored by everyone from Ashley Graham and Kate Bosworth to Victoria Beckham.

The Bader formula is based on TFC8 (Trigger Factor Complex 8), a cocktail of more than 40 active ingredients, including vitamins and amino acids. It encourages regeneration and healing — Professor Bader discovered the formula while looking for solutions to help burn survivors heal quicker — and TFC8 is supposed to activate your stem cells, which go to work to repair fine lines, dark spots, and visible pores.

Elsewhere, we also loved the Medik8 Crystal Retinal Ceramide Eye 3. The world's first clinic strength retinol eye cream – and inspired by Medik8's multi-award-winning vitamin A face serum – the Crystal Retinal Ceramide Eye serves up targeted under-eye rejuvenation.

Medik8’s #1 skincare ingredient, retinaldehyde, has been stabilised at a clinical strength and combined with ceramides and hyaluronic acid filling spheres. The result? An all-in-one solution for evening eye care which is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, wrinkles, crepiness and puffiness while remaining gentle of the delicate eye area. Even a generous amount didn't irritate our skin.
