Kim Cattrall and Nelly Furtado Are the New Faces (and Bodies) of Skims

Muh. Thurrrrrrr. MOTHER! Now this is how you sell undies. Skims' latest campaign includes five “cultural forces” in the form of women we are obsessed with: Kim Cattrall, Nelly Furtado, Hari Nef, Lana Condor, and Coco Jones.

“How do I feel about Skims?” Sex and the City and Mannequin actor icon asks in the latest ad spot for the brand. “Oh, you'd like to know, wouldn't you?” Cattrall adds, then cackles and answers, “Freakin' fabulous.”

She's joined by “Promiscuous” and “I'm Like a Bird” singer Furtado, who is absolutely about to have a comeback, and then Jones, Nef, and Condor. Jones is a singer-actor who rose to fame on the Disney channel and is now launching her adult music career, while Condor is best known for starring in the To All the Boys movies on Netflix. Nef, a model, actor, and writer, was recently seen as the rabbi on And Just Like That… and is one of the Barbies in Barbie. So a lineup among lineups!

The comments praise all five women, but viewers were especially happy to see Cattrall and Furtado because, I mean, the careers, the memories, the fact that women of all ages can look hot and not in a patronising “I've still got it, I embrace the fine lines, the worst music on earth scores my fight against osteoporosis!” kind of way.

“Skims makes me feel free. My new best friend,” continues Cattrall in the ad. Frankly, it's a pretty generic line, but one that only Samantha Jones herself could carry because she can and she does. Does this make me want to buy Skims? Honestly, yes, and I already own a Skims!

The “Kim” in “Skims” is now Kim Cattrall. I don't know who Kim Kardashian is and I refuse to learn—this is a Cattrall house.
