Marsh McCall, an original writer on Late Night With Conan O’Brien who went on to work on sitcoms including Just Shoot Me!, Last Man Standing and Fuller House, has died. He was 52. McCall died unexpectedly Sunday night at his home in Studio City, his agent, Nancy Jones at CAA, told The Hollywood Reporter. No cause of death is known. A former humor columnist for the now-defunct Peninsula Times Tribune in the San Francisco area, McCall began his show business career on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, working alongside Louis C.

Rowan Blanchard spoke about her sexuality on Twitter this past weekend. The Girl Meets World actress told fans she identifies as queer. “In my life — only ever liked boys,” wrote 14-year-old Blanchard. “However I personally don’t wanna label myself as straight, gay or whateva so I am not gonna give myself labels to stick with — just existing.” A fan asked Blanchard to elaborate, and she said she was “open to liking any gender in future” and that’s the reason she identifies as queer.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire made a suitably thunderous start at China’s theatrical box office Friday. The film had earned about $7 million (RMB 50 million) by 3 p.m. local time in Beijing, according to ticketing service Maoyan. Robert Cormier, a Toronto-born bartender-turned-actor who appeared on such TV shows as American Gods, Heartland and Slasher, has died. He was 33. Cormier died Friday in a hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario, of injuries suffered in a fall, his sister Stephanie told The Hollywood Reporter. In perhaps his most prominent role, Cormier portrayed the ill-fated Kit Jennings on the 2019 third season of the Netflix horror anthology series Slasher. Rosemary Murphy, who played the neighbor Miss Maudie in the 1962 classic To Kill a Mockingbird and earned an Emmy Award and three Tony nominations during her distinguished career, has died. She was 89. Murphy, who won her Emmy for portraying the mother of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the 1976 ABC miniseries Eleanor and Franklin, died Saturday in her Upper East Side apartment in New York City, her longtime agent, Alan Willig, told The Hollywood Reporter.
