Hong Kongs Nick Cheung, Sammi Cheng to Star in Temporary Family

HONG KONG – Hong Kong production company Edko Films has unveiled plans for Temporary Family, a romantic comedy starring Nick Cheung (Unbeatable) and Sammi Cheng (Blind Detective).

Directed by Cheuk Wan Chi (Kick Ass Girls), the film, now in production, will make its market debut at the upcoming Hong Kong Filmart.

The film revolves around a property agent and a divorcee, whose plan to resell a luxurious penthouse backfires, forcing them to live together. 

Edko will also be presenting at Filmart four films now in post-production, including adventure film Wolf Totem, by The Lover director Jean-Jacques Annaud and starring Feng Shaofeng (Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon) and Dou Xiao (Dangerous Liaisons); director Zhang Yimou‘s drama Coming Home, starring Gong Li (Curse of the Golden Flower) and Chen Daoming (Aftershock); director Ann Hui‘s biography The Golden Era, starring Tang Wei (Lust, Caution) and Feng Shaofeng; and Rise of the Legend, a retelling of the early years of martial artts hero Wong Fei-hung, directed by Murderer helmer Chow Hin Yeung and starring Sammo Hung (Ip Man 2), Eddie Peng (Unbeatable), and Zhang Jin (The Grandmaster).
