Gigi Hadid Layers Two Perfumes To Smell So Good And We've Got The Deets
Remember when Rihanna broke the internet for smelling truly dreamy? Now it's the turn of Gigi Hadid. Her some-time makeup artist, Erin Parsons, broke ranks to spill on one of the model's signature scents because it was “so good” she simply couldn't gatekeep. Plus, the likelihood of you stumbling across Gigi's fave fragrance is slim to none, since Erin revealed Gigi engages in a little perfume mixology, layering two scents to create her hero combo.
In a video uploaded to her TikTok, Erin explained: “I was working with Gigi Hadid recently and she smelled so good I had to know which fragrance she was wearing. Now she told me that she layers two. I've known Gigi for years, she always smells good – it's always a fresh, light fragrance – but this particular day it really stood out to me, especially when I got close to her. It was more of a skin scent, not like an overly beast fragrance, but it smelled amazing.”
Dropping the details, Erin continued: “she told me that she uses My Burberry and she layers it with Lily Aldridge Haven.” In the caption, and when showing the scents, Erin revealed that Gigi uses the My Burberry Black flanker specifically, which the brand says is “an intense and sensual reinterpretation” of OG My Burberry.
“First let me describe My Burberry, coz I will say, this smells really good – like you've just washed your hair," Erin says, spritzing the scent. “It's sort of a fresh fragrance: a little bit floral, a little bit spicy, but a green fresh fragrance. I really like this on its own.” In the comments section, fans were quick to point out that My Burberry Black was created by Francis Kurkdijan (the same nose behind the cult Baccarat Rouge 540 scent that's picked up over 325 million views on TikTok). The scent was crafted to conjure a London garden amidst a gathering storm with notes of jasmine, peach nectar, rose, amber and patchouli.

I had to reach out to Lily Aldridge and she sent me a personal bottle of this," Erin explained (although we found it stocked on Wardrobe Icons).
“Now this one, it's a floral masterpiece,” Erin says. The supermodel scent was inspired by Lily's garden in Nashville, with a floral blend of rose, peony, freesia, lychee, mandarin and lingering musk.
“The Burberry smells so good but when you mix this on top of it, this fragrance is like poetry. This is floral, it's fresh, it's green, but it's a little fruity. You literally feel like you're walking into a garden of roses and oranges. It's so good,” Erin says.
Lily Aldridge Parfums Haven Eau de Parfum, £36.86As for why she's teased us with a tricky-to-purchase scent, Erin admitted she has a motive. “Here's the thing, I promised to give this bottle to Gigi before I even got it [but] I thought maybe if I do this video, Lily will relaunch the fragrance. Now, I asked her why it was discontinued and she said it was because of covid, because of supplies. But now that I'm giving this bottle away – and by the way, I've made a little bit of a dent in it, sorry G [she said referring to how much she'd already spritzed it] – I need to have one of these for myself.”
Fans in the comments section were 100% on board, messaging “Lily I will buy the perfume. Bring it back! Make me smell like a garden!” and “she better rerelease it or we're all gonna look for a dupe 😏,” while others have been busy suggesting alternatives such as Chloe Rose Tangerine.
“Personally, I would even wear this on its own because I'm a floral fanatic,” Erin concluded, “but the combination of the two – it's fresh and floral and green and a little bit spicy – it is such a beautiful layering combination. That's what Gigi smells like.”
