Adult Swim Renews 'Robot Chicken' for Seventh Season

Adult Swim has renewed Robot Chicken for a seventh season.

Co-creators and executive producers Seth Green and Matthew Senreich used their platform Friday at New York Comic-Con to make the announcement that the series will return with all new episodes in 2013.

The stop-motion animated series airs Sundays at midnight on Adult Swim and typically parodies pop culture in its variety/sketch show format.

The series, which kicked off in February 2005, ranks as Adult Swim’s top-rated original series and has collected numerous Emmy nominations and four wins, including outstanding shortform animated program (2010) and individual achievement in animation (2009, 2007, 2006).

Robot Chicken is created and executive produced by Stoopid Monkey Productions’ Green and Senreich and their Stoopid Buddy Stoodios partners, Buddy Systems’ John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner, who also serve as executive producers, and Janet Dimon as supervising producer. Green and Senreich also write and voice and Zeb Wells directs the multiple Annie Award-winning series.

Season six has featured an all-star roster of voice talent including 50 Cent, Malin Akerman, Sarah Chalke, Kat Dennings, Ke$ha, Zachary Levi, Seth MacFarlane, Jon Stewart and Joss Whedon, among countless others.

Robot Chicken joins the recently renewed Childrens Hospital and NTSF:SD:SUV at Adult Swim.
